"The Last Seduction" Reviews

Louise Eidson (lbeidson@norfolk.infi.net):
I did not like this movie at all. So vulgar and dark. Not my style at all. Only redeeming quality - BP. Larue (larue@hkstar.com) :
Entertainment value wise, this movie was practically a 0. The thought of watching an extremely evil woman get away with everything is very depressing. From an artistic point of veiw, I guess I should give credit to Linda Fiorentino for playing the role of witch perfectly. You come out of the movie really hating her.

Unfortunately, I didn't like Bill Pullman's acting in this role very much. I felt it was quite unnatural. But then again, maybe it's because I've stereotyped him to play good guys all the time. For BP watching, I'd recommend WYWS. This is not the one to watch. Alice Zemaitis (azemaiti@staff.uiuc.edu):
I thought Bill Pullman was great in this movie!! I thought he really showed what a great acting range he has! I agree though that this movie was very dark, but I liked it for Bill's parts in it--especially the one where he is pretending to be talking to his wife from a phone booth, the part where he is being held at gunpoint, and the part where he talking on the phone to his wife when they are trying to make a deal and he threatens to hire a psychopath to "destroy" her. This pretty much names all of his parts in the movie :) I also enjoyed his relationship with his private detective. I'm not a fan of Linda Fiorentino's, but she did play her role well. If you want to see Bill Pullman play a great bad guy--this is a good one to see! dlrs:
"Last Seduction" is a wicked, fun movie. Our man Bill plays a smarmy, greedy med student who sells pharmacutical drugs and prescriptions to raise cash on the side. His wife, played by the deliciously wicked Linda Fiorentino, walks away with a pile of cash to start a new life, without Bill. Ruth (jessybeth@aol.com) :
I liked this movie a lot despite its darkness. Thought there were really a lot of wickedly funny moments. BP was really good in this -- edgy and gleeful at the same time. Very fine performance. Makes me wonder how good he'd be if he were REALLY bad . . . Susan :
Absolute heaven! A well acted, well written, well directed film noir. If only more Hollywood slop could be as engaging as this... Mariko Rymar (garymar@umich.edu) :
Linda Fiorentino is incredible as the amoral Bridget! I thought The Last Seduction was wickedly funny film noir. Oh, is this a Bill Pullman page? Oran Palmer (elieoran@gte.net) :
Although our fellow Bill did a good jobplaying the dissolute entrapped MD, why did he bother? There are some movies that are not worth filming, this was one of them. The time away from his family to film this was precious time lost.
