"While You Were Sleeping" is to me what "Independence Day" is to
Louise. I absolutely loved this movie! I've seen it at least 7 times and I own the movie,
the soundtrack, and the movie poster.
As Davis mentioned, the chemistry between Jack (Bill Pullman) and Lucy (Sandra Bullock) is phenomenal. I saw this movie after seeing "French Kiss," and I was bowled over by the intense chemistry between Jack and Lucy that was lacking in the other movie.
I'll admit that the plot is unrealistic and highly structured, but that doesn't make me love the movie any less. You really get the chance to understand Lucy and Jack when each visits the comatose Peter in the hospital and opens their heart to him.
Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman really shine through in this movie. No matter how many
times I see "While You Were Sleeping," I still come out with a smile in the end.

I couldn't refrain from smiling all through this movie. I thought Sandra was too cute to
swallow, like the Olsen twins in a few years, but Bill! He's my favorite actor, and this
is my favorite Bill movie. The shy and sensitive guy he plays is SO lovable! The

The reason why I like "While You Were Sleeping" is because it's finally the one
movie where Bill Pullman is the RIGHT guy...unlike all the other ones...
Actually, I found "WYWS" incredibly sweet, not only because of the chemistry between Pullman and Bullock and the plot but especially because Hollywood, this time, didn't capitalize on their usual way of getting people to go to their movies i.e. sex. The fact that there was that romanticism without that terrible exploit of the human flesh was very commendable.
Plus the fact that the movie gives you this incredibly sweet feeling at the end, so

This movie was so absolutely heartwarming! I enjoyed it greatly. As many of the other
reviewers stated, the chemistry between Pullman and Bullock is so unique and touching.
This movie confirmed Bill Pullman's status as my favorite actor.
I have to also comment on the comedy quality of the film. Although some bits were corny, they were corny in a lovable, unforgettable way. I especially loved the comments of Jack's grandmother Elsie.

This has got to be not only my favorite Bill Pullman movie, but my favorite movie of all
time!! I haven't fallen in love with a movie like this since The Fabulous Baker Boys with
Jeff Bridges and When Harry Met Sally. I can't even tell you how many times I have watched
this movie from start to finish. I went to see this movie with some of the girls that I
work with when it was still out in the summer and all of us were dying for winter hoping
we too could experience such a great "ice scene" like the one in the movie.
Unfortunately, we haven't found any Bill Pullmans in Champaign-Urbana, IL. We're still

I've seen a few of Bill's more famous movies and this is definitely one of my favourites!
It was one of the few movies my whole family enjoyed. It's nice to see Bill in a good role

Bill Pullman is just great! HE made me watch the film in the first place, then I purchased
the video and I truly enjoy it over and over again. I think that Bill portrays himself in
Jack, a sweet, smart, funny and sensitive guy.
Bill's voice tone, the expression in his eyes and Sandra Bullock's are charming when
they discuss "the leaning thing..." and I wish Prince Charming proposes to me
the same way Jack did to Lucy. I just love Bill and the candid joy of "WYWS".

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Bill in this one - he is simply
GORGEOUS in this. I LOVE this movie! I normally hate romantic movies, and don't have a
romantic bone in my body, until I saw this.....! I fell for Bill Pullman BIG TIME in this.
I adored Jack, and the chemistry between Bill Pullman and Sandra Bullock is beautiful. My
friend and I watch this movie often together, and we still laugh and oohh and aahh in the
right places. Our favourite scenes are when he is explaining "leaning"! We
absolutely die when he "leans" towards her! And of course, the falling over on
the ice leaves us in fits of laughter - we never tire of it! This was the first movie of
Bill's I really sat up and took notice of him. I had seen him in movies like
"Sleepless in Seattle" (boy did Meg Ryan choose the wrong one), and
"Malice", but had only thought him "nice". That all changed of course,

I loved the movie and I also agree that it was nice that there were no sex scenes (for a change!). However, speaking from experience, you've got a better chance of winning the lottery AND getting struck by lightning, than you do of meeting a guy like this who ain't taken yet. I identified my life so closely with "Lucy", that I actually cried afterwards.

I'm usually not much for these sappy love stories, but While You Were Sleeping was
wonderful. The chemistry between Bill Pullman and Sandra Bullock was so incredible that
it's hard to believe that they aren't involved in real life! This was a basic love story
in the best sense--without sex scenes or anything. It was very innocent and sweet and I
think that was the attraction of the movie.
This movie was so great that after it ended I cried. It was so perfectly written and the actors were perfect. This is absolutely the best love story I've ever seen. I would see it 100 more times without loving it any less. I hope one day I can find a man like Jack.

a positive warmth and a much better feeling about the film industry. We are so deluged

The good thing about this movie is that it's not all swearing and sex like a lot of the
movies are today. Bill Pullman Is incredibly cute. You don't find too many men like the
character he portrays in WYWS. I couldn't stop laughing after the ice scene and the

This is definitely on my Best Movies of All Time List! After it was over, I just got this
weird feeling, and, I think , in a sense, it made me a better person. If you have not seen

Sandra Bullock is hilarious as Lucy, and I can actually relate to her- my personality and
Lucy's personality, not to mention her pre-Callaghan lofe life, are indentical. I give the
movie five stars. All right, on to the best part: The Bill Part of my review (isn't that
why we're all here in the first place?) My favorite Bill movie of all time! I have to
brag, I am just about the biggest Bill Pullman fan to walk the face of the earth. And if I
had a scanner, I'd send you some of my drawings...hey, did you know that Bill's real-life
personality is pretty close to Jack's? Great, since Jack is the most perfect fictional
